Meet our Dartmouth Team
Amanda Terrell, DAYCARE SUPERVISOR
Amanda grew up in New Jersey and moved to Canada in the summer of 2013. Since she was a child she had a love for animals of all shapes and sizes, however, dogs always held a special place in her heart. She has been eager to work with dogs for as long as she can remember, so becoming a member of the Jollytails team makes getting up to go to work a breeze. Sadly at the moment, Amanda doesn't own a dog of her own but wishes to own one within the near future and love it unconditionally.
Ainslie grew up surrounded by pets. She always had a passion for caring for animals, especially dogs (including her German Wirehaired Pointer, Splash, and her roommates' Boxer, Jax). She has spent a lot of time volunteering for ElderDog Canada. After graduating from Dalhousie University with a B.Sc. in Biology, she decided Jollytails would be the perfect place to follow her passion and is very excited to be working with the dogs in the daycare.
Samantha has spent her life in Eastern Passage. She has always had a love for dogs, but unfortunately had a busy family life as a child and did not have time for a pet. As soon as she had her own place Samm and her boyfriend got their first dog. A handsome pit Leo. Two years later Chev the dogo flew all the way from Europe to join their family. Samm loves spending her time out in the woods with her boys running free. As part of the new Burnside team Samantha is excited to meet so many new pups and gain more knowledge on our furry companions.
Travis grew up in Wellington, Nova Scotia and has been a lifelong lover of animals. After graduating from NSCC's Screen Arts Diploma program and pursuing a career in filmmaking, Travis decided to switch career paths and concentrate on his passion for animals, which led him to Jollytails.
Although he doesn’t currently have his own dog, he looks forward to being able to get his fill of them at work in the meantime. We are happy to have Travis on Team JT!
Nicole grew up in Cole Harbour and has always had a passion for animals. She graduated from NSCC’s Screen Arts program in 2014 and pursued a career in filmmaking. Deciding to switch paths, Nicole chose to focus on her love for animals. Before working at Jollytails, Nicole worked as a groomer under a variety of professional groomers and frequently attends a variety of seminars on professional pet care. She currently does not own a dog of her own, but gets plenty of love from her cat, Daisy, and her many rodents. She can be seen here snuggling alongside Charlie.
Nicole is always eager to learn more and is excited to expand her skill sets in animal care with Jollytails.
When Cayden is not spending all of his time being slathered with puppy kisses, he enjoys hiking the untraveled paths of Nova Scotia, whipping up a mean batch of s’mores cookies, and getting ready for Halloween 365 days a year! What Cayden likes most about daycare is meeting all the unique animals that walk through our door and getting to know each quirky personality. At home he resides in a small zoo in the urban city, he has an Akita named Luca, a cat Jujube, and 2 snakes; a ball python named Misha and a boa constrictor named Pluto ( Pluto would like you to know he’s going to be the worlds biggest noodle some day! )
Mackenzie grew up in Lower Sackville, NS she has always loved and had a passion for animals, especially dogs. She grew up with family dog Chloe who is a 13 year old bullterrier, so when Mackenzie decided to get her own dog she found Molly a 4 year old bullterrier at her local SPCA. She enjoys going on hikes and drives with Molly and taking her to see new places.
Before working at Jollytails Mackenzie mostly worked in cosmetics but knew she wanted to work with animals as they are her passion.
Mackenzie is excited to learn more about dogs and expand her skills and knowledge with animal care.
